In the result of investigatory and procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to 39 year-old man's health was disclosed. Charge was pressed against 36 year-old man.

On January 3, 2020 at about 21:35 a call was received in Erebuni Police Division from a medical center informing that 39 year-old resident of Yerevan with «cut-pierced penetrating, bleeding wound on the right part of the chest» was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 39 year-old man was found the injured party.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case it was found out that 39 year-old man had sustained the bodily injury on January 3, 2020 at about 21:00 during the argument with his brother-in-law on domestic affairs. A few days after the incident the latter turned himself to the investigative body.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 36 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed. At the same time the court considered usage of mortgage permissible as an optional pretrial measure against him.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigatory actions were conducted, samples were taken, witnesses were questioned, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated. Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
