A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing two men near the hotel-restaurant complex operating in Jrvezh. The person having committed the alleged crime was arrested.

On August 17, 2019 at 03:15 a call was received from «Saint Gregory the Illuminator» medical center in Nor Nork Police Division informing that two men were taken to medical center. One of them was diagnosed «cut-pierced penetrating wound on the right part of the abdomen», the other – «cut-pierced not penetrating injury on the left part of the chest and cut-pierced not penetrating wound on the right thigh».

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code. The two men who had been taken to medical center were found the injured party.

On August 19, 2019 the person having committed the alleged crime, who is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1997, turned himself to Nor Nork Police Division and gave self-incriminating testimony. On the same day the latter was arrested on suspicion of committing committals envisaged by the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigatory actions were conducted, including inspection of the scene with participation of the suspect during which the knife which was the crime tool was found and confiscated. A number of persons were questioned. Forensic medical, forensic merchandising, forensic trace, forensic genetic, forensic criminological examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
