In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee initiated on inflicting heavy bodily damage to Araqelyan - 18 year-old resident of the village of Kurtan, the circumstances of the case were found and the person having committed the apparent crime was pressed a charge based on the obtained evidence.
 

It was earlier informed that on 17 January, 2015 at 18:10 a call was received from medical center of Stepanavan informing that the resident of the village of Kurtan of the region of Lori, H. Araqelyan with cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left lower lateral part of his chest turned to medical center for medical assistance.
 

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee pursuant to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.
 

Through the combination of the evidence obtained during preliminary investigation in the order defined by law, it was found that on 17 January, 2015 at about 17:00 during the row on paying the lost bet to the resident of the same village Tamaryan at the area called “The area of Zavod” of the village of Kurtan, the minor resident of the same village (born on 28 January, 1997) argued with the residents of the same village S. Ochinyan and H. Araqelyan.
 

The minor resident of the village out of motives of revenge for dishonoring him during the argument stabbed with a knife he had taken in advance at the left lower lateral part of H. Araqelyan’s chest. As a result, the latter was inflicted bodily damage dangerous for life.
 

In suspicion of committing the mentioned crime on 17 January the 17 year-old resident of Kurtan was arrested. On 20 January, 2015 he was pressed a charge according to the Point 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detainment for 2 months was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
