The garage and the car set to fire which resulted in explosion; a 21 year-old man died
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on the death of 21 year-old man caused by the explosion of the car parked in the garage.
On June 16, 2015 a report was received from “University hospital N 1” informing that a young man’s body with torn wounds on his face was taken to hospital from the yard of the building 60.
During the preparation of materials it was found that on June 16, 2015 at about 01:30 the person having committed the apparent crime set the garage located near the building 60, Baghramyan Street to fire, as well as the car “Nissan Qashqai” parked in the garage used by A. Tumoyan.
As a result, there was an explosion. 21 year-old G. Tumoyan died of bodily damages he had sustained in the result of the explosion. The glasses of the entrance of common use of the building 60, as well as the glasses of flats were also damaged in the result of the explosion.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code (willful destruction of property which caused significant damage, human death by negligence).
During preliminary investigation complex forensic examinations were appointed. The site was inspected, as well.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
