In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee theft committed from payment terminal of “Converse Bank” CJSC located at the area of “Yerevan City” supermarket was disclosed. Charge was pressed against RF citizen.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that on August 17 from 22:00 to 22:14 money in particularly large amount – 15.130.000 AMD in total was cashed and swindled from the payment terminal which belongs to “Converse Bank” CJSC and is located at the area of “Yerevan City” supermarket.

On August 18, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 181 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory plan was worked out.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions those having allegedly committed theft were identified; they are RF citizens.

One of them was found and based on the obtained evidence charge was pressed against him for theft in particularly large amount committed by means of computer.

On August 20, 2018 the investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed.

The money swindled was found.

The relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take measures to find the other one and bring him to the investigative body.

Through the criminal case data were obtained that from August 17 to August 18, 2018 such incidents took place from 8 ATMs of “Converse Bank” located in Yerevan and Kotayk, as well.

“Converse Bank” CJSC was found the affected party.

Preliminary investigation is under way.
