Two balls of different caliber found during post-mortem examination; several hypotheses developed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of 46 year-old Hamlet Asatryan is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee

During H. Asatryan’s post-mortem examination the forensic experts have found 2 balls; a metal ball of 5.45 mm caliber without visible deformations was found in the skull cavity and a partially deformed ball of 9 mm caliber was found in muscles of posterior surface of the left part of his chest. Forensic ballistic examination was appointed.
Through the inspection of the body and the scene necessary samples for expertise were taken, clothes which were on the body at the time it was found, were confiscated, the lock and the lock core of the entrance of the apartment were taken.
Complex forensic examinations were appointed to clarify a number of circumstances of the criminal case.
An investigation plan has been formed, a number of working hypotheses have been developed and necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to verify them. The appropriate subdivisions of the police have been tasked to take measures to find the circumstances of the case, to find possible witnesses, to find the person (persons) having committed the apparent crime and to present them to the investigative body.
It was earlier informed that on July 12, 2015 at about 18:00 the bloody body of H. Asatryan was found in the hall of one of the apartments of the building 17, Ohanov Street.
