A criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on swindling property in large amount with a prior agreement by a group of people, entering apartment using a weapon, illegal keeping of weapon.

Pursuant to initial data, on December 26, 2018 at about 21:00 with the purpose of swindling somebody else’s property 4 masked persons illegally entered the house of the resident of Getap village of Vayots Dzor province, born in 1949, beat him and his wife, born in 1956, and using violence dangerous for life with a knife and gun demanded money and golden jewelry. Then tying them in the bedroom with a sticky tape they stole 500.000 AMD, 4 bottles of brandy, a notebook of «Toshiba» model, a mobile phone of «Samsung» model, a tablet and fled. The resident of Getap village, born in 1949, and his wife were found the injured party.

On December 27, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day residents of Lori province, born in 1984 and 1989 were arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime.

Through inspection of the scene items significant for the case were found and confiscated. Through personal search of one of the suspects the knife which was the crime tool was found and confiscated.

Forensic genetic, forensic chemical, forensic finger print and forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation, to find out the frame of those having committed the alleged crime, to personalize the actions of each of them and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment.

Relevant subdivisions of the Police were tasked to take measures to find others involved and to bring them to the investigative body.
