23 Reports on Apparent Electoral Breaches Received in IC Territorial Subdivisions
On September 23, 2018, as of 18:00, 23 materials on electoral breaches recorded during snap elections of Yerevan Council of Elders held on September 23 were received in territorial subdivisions of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. In the materials there are apparent elements of crime envisaged by the RA Criminal Code.
8 of the mentioned materials were received in the RA IC Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department, 4 – in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts, 3 – in Yerevan Investigative Department, 3 – in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district, 3 – in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, 2 in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district.
The materials in the proceeding of IC territorial subdivisions mainly relate to attempts of double voting – 16 of them, 7 relate to breach of confidentiality of ballot.
Necessary procedural actions are conducted to verify the circumstances of apparent breach of electoral right in the reports.
