31 Year-Old Resident of Yerevan Arrested on Suspicion of Causing Fellow-Citizen Heavy Bodily Damage

On May 31, 2020 at several hours calls were received from «Mikayelyan» medical center informing that 3 residents of Yerevan with cut-pierced wounds on the left part of the abdomen and the right thigh, fracture of the left thigh bone and fracture of soft issues were taken to hospital.

Pursuant to initial data, on the same day at 01:15 4 citizens argued in Mamikonyants Street and hit each other during which 31 year-old resident of Yerevan stabbed one of those involved – 42 year-old fellow-citizen on his abdomen and right thigh causing bodily injuries.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of heavy bodily damage) of RA Criminal Code. Three residents, who had been taken to hospital, were found the injured party.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted during which the knife – the tool of the apparent crime was confiscated. A number of persons were questioned. Forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

On May 31, 2020 31 year-old resident of Yerevan was arrested on suspicion of causing bodily injury to fellow-citizen.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
