Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Initiated on ex-Wife’s Murder Committed by Husband Completed

As a result of large-scale procedural and evidentiary actions conducted in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on November 5, 2025 in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA investigative Committee, it was found out and grounded that during an argument with A.H., his ex-wife, V.K., due to her refusal to clean his apartment, stabbed her for multiple times with a kitchen knife on various parts of her body, killing her.

In the course of the preliminary investigation public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.K. according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
