A Group of People Assisted Conscript in Attempting to Evade Military Conscription through Deception

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that, with the intent to attempt to evade military conscription through deception, on April 29, 2024 M.P. submitted a false document issued by the "Center for Medical Genetics and Primary Health Care" LLC, stating that he allegedly suffered from a periodic illness, to the military commissariat of Kotayk region,   which was refuted both by the examinations conducted at the medical clinic and the diagnostic laboratory, as well as by the conclusions of the forensic genetic expertise commissioned within the framework of the proceeding.

As a result, M.P. was found as fit for military service and was drafted into the RA Armed Forces.

Besides, the conscript’s mother, the doctor at the medical center, and citizen H.M. assisted M.P. in attempting to evade military conscription through deception by removing obstacles and providing information. However, the crime included in their intent was not completed due to circumstances beyond their control.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.I., A.N. and H.M. according to the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the article 46-44-461 of RA Criminal Code.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
