Minors Forced another Minor to Perform Sexual Acts under the Threat of Blackmail: Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on forcing a minor to engage in sexual acts, and extorting money in significant amount through blackmail committed by other minors was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
In the course of the preliminary investigation apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that between March and June, 2025 the minors blackmailed the minor victim, threatening to spread information about sexual acts with her, and demanded a total of 60 thousand AMD.
Besides, as a result of a number of evidentiary actions conducted in the course of the preliminary investigation, it was found out that the minors forced the victim under 16 to carry out sexual acts.
Considering that one of the minors is not a subject of a crime, namely he has not reached the age of criminal liability for the specified crime, a decision was made not to initiate a public criminal prosecution against him according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 199 of RA Criminal Code.
Public criminal prosecution was initiated against one of the minors according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 258, the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 199, and the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 195 of RA Criminal Code, against the other – according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code.
Administrative supervision, educational supervision, and absence ban was applied as an optional pretrial measure against them.
Petitions were submitted to the head of the community and the head of the Division of General Department of the Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to determine the reasons for the crime.
The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
