The Chairman of the Investigative Committee Received the Head of OSCE ODIHR Observation Mission
The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan received today the Head of OSCE ODIHR observation mission Janez Lenarchich.
During the meeting, Artur Poghosyan emphasized the invaluable contribution of the observation mission at a crucial stage for the Republic of Armenia.
The parties touched upon the powers exercised by the Investigative Committee in connection with crimes related to electoral processes during the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia.
During the meeting Artur Poghosyan referred to the activities of the working group created in accordance with his order to more properly organize the powers of the RA Investigative Committee during the regular elections of the National Assembly scheduled for June 7, 2026, the goal of which is to properly supervise the consideration of reports on apparent crimes related to the electoral process, and then the conduction of preliminary investigation of criminal proceedings.
Artur Poghosyan also noted that during the pre-election phase, on election day, and on the days following it, the Investigative Committee will provide enhanced service with its entire staff.
At the end of the meeting the parties expressed willingness to ensure the continuous exchange of information and assured that the cooperation will be ongoing.
