Public Criminal Prosecution Initiated against A.A. who had Made Statements about Inciting and Propagating Hatred, Intolerance, Hostility

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on May 12, 2026, using information and communication technologies, in a video posted on his Facebook page A.A., made statements about inciting and propagating hatred, discrimination, intolerance, hostility.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against the latter according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 329 of RA Criminal Code.

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding A.A. was arrested and a motion was submitted to court to apply detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
