A criminal case initiated on poisoning of schoolchildren of the village of Dzithanqov
A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on poisoning of schoolchildren.
On September 10, 2015 at 16:05 a call was received from “Gyumri Infectious Antituberculosis hospital” informing that 4 schoolchildren from the secondary school of the village of Dzithanqov with acute intestinal infection were taken to hospital.
Through investigation it was found that on September 9, 2015 there was rice soup and on September 10, 2015 there was buckwheat pilaf in the menu of the secondary school of the village of Dzithanqov of the region of Shirak.
Samples of the mentioned dishes and water were taken, forensic examinations were commissioned.
On September 11, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 279 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case, as well as to find the source and causes of poisoning.
