Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia received today the delegation headed by Kristina Kvien, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipontentiary to the RA.

Greeting the Ambassador, Artur Poghosyan attached importance to the high level of cooperation established between the RA Investigative Committee and the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, as well as to the support provided to the system.

Kristina Kvien, U.S. Ambassador to the RA congratulated the Chairman of the Investigative Committee on the appointment and thanked for the initiative of the meeting.  

In her speech the Ambassador also emphasized the active partnership with the Investigative Committee and expressed confidence that the cooperation will be of continuous nature.

During the conversation the Chairman of the Investigative Committee referred to combining efforts of both countries in the fight against transnational crimes.

During the meeting, the effectiveness of various courses and trainings aimed at developing the professional skills of the employees of the Investigative Committee, organized within the framework of the support provided by the U.S. Embassy, ​​was also addressed.

At the end of the meeting the parties expressed gratitude for the quick response in the field of mutual legal assistance and reaffirmed their willingness to cooperate with each other
