In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of banditry committed against the pharmacy operating in Tigran Mets avenue, Yerevan were found out; charge was pressed against 29 year-old resident of Yerevan.

On April 24, 2019 at 01:30 a report was received in RA Police Division of Erebuni informing that a masked person threatening with a knife swindled money from the pharmacy located in Tigran Mets avenue.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory group was formed, the private entrepreneur and employee were found the affected party.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions, as well as operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1989.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation on April 24, 2019 at about 01:10 the person having committed the alleged crime taking advantage of absence of customers, partially covering his face broke into the pharmacy, attacked the employee, threatening to use violence dangerous for life with a knife demanded and received drugs with alkaloids containing opium, stole money from the cash register, as well as the employee's mobile phone of «SAMSUNG» model, golden ring, purse and escaped.

Through investigation it was found out that before committing the mentioned crime 29 year-old man had been hiding from law enforcement bodies being charged with stealing somebody else's property in significant amount by breaking into the apartment envisaged by the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence on April 27, 2019 charge was pressed against the resident of Yerevan according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. On the same day the defendant was taken to «Armavir» penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice as on 11.03.2019 detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against the latter by the RA Court of Appeal.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
