Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on banditry committed against the employee of «VTB Armenia» CJSC was completed in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against a citizen, born in 1986.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation on January 29, 2019 the citizen of the Republic of Georgia, born in 1986, Armenian by nationality entered the branch of “VTB Armenia Bank” CJSC and broke the door glass of the branch manager’s working room with an axe used as a weapon. Then waving the axe attacked him and demanded money threatening to use violence dangerous for life and health. However, he was neutralized by the police officer performing his duty in the bank and was apprehended to Arabkir police division.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 33 year-old man according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
