Charge Pressed against Two Persons for Willful Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage to Young Man
Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to the young man’s health committed by a group of people.
On May 26, 2019 at 09:05 a beaten young man with a diagnosis of polytrauma was taken to “Armenia” medical center. During preparation of materials the person was identified. He is a resident of Vardenis, born in 1985.
A criminal case was initiated in Mashtots Division of the RA Police according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and was received in the proceeding. The man, born in 1985, was found the injured party.
In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances, including the motive were found out, the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified; one of them is a resident of Aparan town, born in 1975, the other is a resident of Gavar, born in 1983. They were questioned. It was found out that the injured had sustained the bodily injury during the argument on domestic matters with them.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Vardenis, born in 1975, and the resident of Gavar, born in 1983, according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.
Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case, to personalize the actions of each of those involved in the incident, to give criminal legal assessment to their actions, as well as to verify possible involvement of others in the incident.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
