Citizen N. Harutyunyan found
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on citizen N. Harutyunyan’s disappearance is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
It was earlier informed that on August 21, 2015 N. Harutyunyan’s husband submitted a written report informing that on the same day at about 17:00 his wife left the gold market of “Vagharsh and Sons Group” LLC located at 24 Khorenatsi, Yerevan after which there was not any information from her.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 110 of RA Criminal Code (cause to commit suicide).
Then, by the instruction of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, the results of the investigation were discussed and the committal was reassessed according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (willful murder).
Through preliminary investigation it was found that N. Harutyunyan had been engaged in buying and selling golden jewelry at the gold market of “Vagharsh and Sons Group” LLC located at 24 Khorenatsi, Yerevan since 2007.
At the same time it was found that starting from February, 2015 the latter acquired golden jewelry on condition of paying money after the jewelry had been sold and she still had some debts.
The employees of the same market, N. Harutyunyan’s relatives and family members were interrogated as a witness.
During preliminary investigation the decryptions of incoming and outgoing calls made with N. Harutyunyan’s phone numbers were received by the decision of the court, necessary investigatory actions were conducted.
It was found that N. Harutyunyan’s phone numbers had not been used since August 21, 2015. Joint measures were taken together with services conducting operative-searching operation to find N. Harutyunyan.
On November 2, 2015 N. Harutyunyan turned herself to the RA Police Central Station then to the investigative body.
N. Harutyunyan was interrogated as a witness and told that she had decided to sever ties with her husband and on August 21, 2015 after finishing her work she left for Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in a random taxi and lived in one of the villages until November 2, 2015 but she did not mention particularly in which village. She was informed through TV programs that a criminal case had been initiated on her disappearance and decided to return.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find all the circumstances of the case.
