In the framework of the criminal case on murder of 50 year-old man committed in Ijevan investigated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee detention chosen as a pretrial measure against the defendant A. Shahinyan was today reaffirmed by court.
 

It was earlier informed that on August 16, 2016 a call was received informing that there was a body in the field near the daily regulation reservoir located at the end of the town of Ijevan.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department it was found that the resident of Ijevan town V. Akinyan, born in 1966, was inflicted fatal firearm injury by the resident of the same town A. Shahinyan, born in 1987.
 

Decision on involving the latter as a defendant was made by the investigator on August 17, on the same day a motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him and search was declared.
 

On August 18 the person under persecution turned himself, charge was pressed against him by the investigative body according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code and on the same day a motion was submitted to court to reaffirm detention as a pretrial measure against A. Shahinyan. The motion was confirmed.  
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
