Investigation conducted to find the circumstances of contractor’s death

A criminal case was initiated in General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on death of the contractor Ashot Hovhannisyan.

On August 18, 2015 at about 23:40 at the military base of unit N of RA Ministry of Defense the contractor of the same unit Ashot Hovhannisyan born in 1990 died of firearm injuries caused by shots fired in the result of violation of combat duty regulations.

A criminal case was initiated in General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 3 of the Article 365 of RA Criminal Code (Violation of combat duty or combat service rules which caused grave consequences).

Additional information on the results of preliminary investigation will be provided.
