RA IC Chairman Hayk Grigoryan Received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Islamic Republic of Iran to Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi
Today – on August 20 the RA IC Chairman Hayk Grigoryan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi.
Ambassador congratulated Hayk Grigoryan on the new complicated and responsible position of the RA IC Chairman.
RA IC Chairman assessed highly the cooperation traditions established between the RA and IRI law enforcement bodies, including investigative committees. The parties assured their willingness to continue and deepen the cooperation and discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
RA IC Chairman mentioned that there is a sufficient legal base for active cooperation of law enforcement bodies of these two countries and the legal assistance is realized on the base of the international-legal documents signed within UNO as well as bilateral agreements.
Statistic data on criminal cases investigated in territorial investigative subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee against IRI citizens and with their participation were presented during the meeting.
The Ambassador assessed highly the practice to send the copies of motions on providing legal assistance to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia which contributes to the procedure of their quick performance.
The parties attached importance to the objective exchange of information within criminal cases and provision of legal assistance within certain criminal cases, if necessary the efficiency of which indirectly affects the mutual confidence between law enforcement bodies of the two countries.
