Minor Committed Violent Sexual Actions against another Minor: Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Initiated in 2022 Completed
Through comprehensive investigation conducted in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out and grounded that in November, 2022 a minor resident of one of the RA regions met another minor resident under the pretext of telling her something important. During the meeting using violence against her he committed violent sexual actions.
Besides, the mentioned minor, while acting as a witness within the framework of another criminal proceeding, during the additional interrogation conducted on November 14, 2024, having been warned of the obligation to give testimony and to answer questions truthfully, as provided for in the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 58 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, as well as of the criminal liability prescribed by the Article 503 of the RA Criminal Code in case of refusal to fulfill those obligations, illegally refused to give testimony on circumstances possibly known to him in connection with grave crimes, particularly, committing violent sexual actions against a minor committed by a number of minors and abducting her.
Public criminal prosecution was initiated against the minor according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 198 and the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 503 of RA Criminal Code.
The criminal proceeidng with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
