General Information
The relations of RA Investigative Committee with investigative bodies of other states are regulated by Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, as well as international agreements ratified by the Republic of Armenia.
In the framework of criminal cases investigated by them the investigators of the Committee are authorized;
- to send requests to competent bodies of foreign states on providing legal aid in order to conduct interrogation, inspection, confiscation, search, expertise and other procedural actions,
- to conduct procedural actions in the area of the Republic of Armenia at the request of competent bodies of foreign states according to international agreements of the Republic of Armenia - in the order defined by those agreements and Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, and according to the Chapter 54.1 of Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia(Legal aid in the framework of criminal cases, if there is not any international agreement), in case there is not any international agreement on providing legal aid for conducting procedural actions between a foreign state and the Republic of Armenia.
Strengthening international legal relations, as well as close cooperation with law enforcement bodies of other states in struggle against crime is of particular importance for the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
