25 year-old Young Man Arrested on Suspicion of Inflicting Heavy Bodily Damage to Fellow-Villager (photos)

Within the criminal case initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code investigative and other procedural actions are conducted to find out the circumstances of infliction of heavy bodily damage to two residents of Aygezard village and committing hooliganism.

The call on the accident was received on December 23, 2021 at 17:15 from “Artashat medical center” CJSC through which Artashat Police Division was informed that two residents of Aygezard village were taken to the medical center. One of them was with a diagnosis of “Craniocerebral trauma, coma”, the other – “Craniocerebral trauma, lacerated wounds on the top of the head”.

In the result of urgent measures it was found out that on the same day at about 16:30 at the crossroad of Pushkin-Kostan Streets of Aygezard village 47 year-old resident of the same village, with a car driven by him crashed into 25 year-old fellow-villager’s car after which getting out of the car he directed the gun in his hand to the young man and scolded. An argument started between them during which a shot was fired and 25 year-old young man, seizing the gun from fellow-villager’s hand, hit him with the gun on the latter’s head. A person who had intervened in the argument hit the young man after which the latter’s brother went up to him and hit him with a fist on his head.

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical examinations were commissioned, a number of persons were questioned.

25 year-old young man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting heavy bodily damage to his fellow-villager, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against the latter’s brother.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
