A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Niorq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on death of 49 year-old S. Azizyan.

On October 6, 2015 at 16:50 a call was received from Central ambulance service informing that the ambulance group left for the 2d entrance of the house 40, Dzorap, Yerevan where a man’s body was found.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site. 49 year-old S. Azizyan’s body with a firearm injury was found on the balcony of the fifth floor of the house 40, Dzorap, Yerevan.

Through external inspection of the body a firearm injury was found on the head, through the inspection of the site a rifle of 9 mm caliber without a factory number was found. 15 bullets of 9 mm were also found in the pocket of S. Azizyan’s trousers.

According to initial data the firearm injury was inflicted to the man by himself. A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Parts 1 of the Article 110 and 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find the circumstances of S. Azizyan’s death.
