54 year-old man’s murder revealed, person having committed the apparent crime detained
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, as well as the motive of 54 year-old V. Sargsyan’s murder were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
V. Sargsyan’s body with skull fractures was found on November 9, 2015 in the field located at the area of Sayat-Nova village, Ararat region.
A criminal case was initiated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder).
Through preliminary investigation it was found that the man had been inflicted bodily damages dangerous for life on November 8 in the result of the row erupted on domestic affairs.
According to the evidence on November 8, 2015 V. Sargsyan argued with a 35 year-old resident of Ararat region on entering home with muddy shoes then they walked together at the area of water pipe during which the 35 year-old man hit V. Sargsyan’s head with an iron pipe he had taken with him in advance. The latter died of the injuries he had sustained.
The 35 year-old man was identified and on November 10 was arrested on suspicion of murder. On November 11 charge was pressed against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.
On the same day the investigator submitted a motion to the Court of First Instance of Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions on using detention as a pretrial measure against the accused. He was interrogated, investigatory experimentation was conducted.
On November 12, 2015 a decision was made to commission forensic psychiatric expert examination.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find all the circumstances of the case.
