In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of kidnapping the resident of Yerevan A. Manukyan were found, the person accused of committing the apparent crime was arrested.
 

On April 1, 2015 the citizen A. Manukyan submitted a written report informing that on February 6, 2015 he was kidnapped at the café located at G. Nzhdeh square, Yerevan and was kept in the basement of a taxi service located in Kilikia district for 22 days.
 

On April 2 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code.
 

During preliminary investigation A. Manukyan was found an injured. In the result of the investigatory and procedural measures one of the persons having committed the apparent crime was identified. On the base of the evidence obtained in the framework of the criminal case the citizen K. Vardanyan was charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code. Imprisonment was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the circumstances of the case, to find the persons having committed the apparent crime.
