A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on death of 12 year-old child.
 

On June 11, 2015 at 20:00 a call was received from “Malatia” medical center informing that the minor – 12 year-old Lilit with a diagnosis “cardiac arrest – biological death” was taken to the medical center.
 

During preparation of materials it was found that on June 11, 2015 at about 19:30 the pendulum located in the yard of the house 2A, R. Meliqyan Street, Yerevan fell on the child playing in the mentioned yard. As a result the child sustained bodily damages and died.
 

On June 11, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district according to the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 279 of RA Criminal Code (manufacture or sale of goods which do not meet safety requirements for the consumers’ life or health which negligently caused human death).
 

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic technical examinations were appointed.
 

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive and objective examination of the circumstances of the child’s death. Witnesses were interrogated, including the ones who had first noticed the fallen child and tried to help her.
 

The Police Station of Malatia was tasked to find the circumstances of the case.
