A criminal case initiated on running over a citizen of Australia in Yerevan
A criminal case was initiated in Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on running over the citizen of Australia Gaye Joshar in Yerevan.
On 26 December, 2014 at 05:30 in front of the house N 42A, Mashtots Avenue the pedestrian – citizen of Australia Gaye Joshar was hit by a car and was taken to the medical center “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” with bodily injuries.
On 5 January, 2015 a criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 242 and the Article 244 of RA Criminal Code. Preliminary investigation is being implemented.
On 7 January, 2015 the investigative body received information telling that on the same day at about 01:30 Gaye Joshar died at medical center “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” without gaining consciousness. On the same day a forensic examination of the body was appointed.
In the result of the measures taken in the framework of the preliminary investigation the driver who had hit the citizen of Australia was identified.
The Central station of RA Police was tasked to find the driver and the car and represent to the investigative body.
A number of people were questioned, including people who had made friends with the foreigner until the accident.
The preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the objective, comprehensive examination of the circumstances.
