A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on violence against the representative of the authorities and the attempt to swindle weapon and ammunition.

On July 31, 2015 criminal intelligence officer of Bazum Division of Vanadzor of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Police, A. Fndkyan submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 16:00 receiving a call on threatening minor children and injuring herself by V. Grigoryan in his neighbor I. Kostanyan’s house in Vanadzor, he left for the scene.

Officer A. Fndkyan mentioned in the report that he visited the house belonging to V. Grigoryan and introduced himself showing his certificate then at the invitation of the latter’s mother N. Grigoryan he entered the flat. After entering the flat N. Grigoryan closed the entrance door of the flat with a metal rod then attacked him with V. Grigoryan. They did not obey A. Fndkyan’s legal demands to stop the row and struck his head and different parts of his body with chairs for several times. 

Besides, V. Grigoryan threatened A. Fndkyan with a knife, attempted to grasp the recorded weapon from him and threatened to kill him. In order to protect himself from illegal actions of N. Grigoryan and V. Grigoryan, A. Fndkyan put the weapon to combat position and warned that he would fire if they continued, and fired warning shots in the opposite direction. However, N. and V. Grigoryans pushed A. Fndkyan to the floor and went on hitting him and V. Grigoryan attempted to grasp the recorded weapon again after which A. Fndkyan fired one more warning shot. But V. Grigoryan holding the officer’s hands tried to direct the weapon to his neck after which A. Fndkyan fired at V. Grigoryan’s foot inflicting him bodily injury. 

The police operative group also arrived at the scene, tried to break the entrance door of the flat after which N. Grigoryan opened the door.

On July 31, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 316, the Point 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 34-238 of RA Criminal Code. By the decision of the Head of Lori Regional Investigative Department an investigatory group was formed.

N. and V. Grigoryans were arrested. Preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
