A criminal case initiated on woman’s death at maternity ward of “Sisian medical centre”
A criminal case was initiated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on 28 year-old Ani Davtyan’s death in the maternity ward of “Sisian medical centre” CJSC.
On 25 October, 2014, at 23:20 a call was received from “Sisian medical centre” CJSC informing that on 24 October, 2014, at 14:00 the resident of Sisian, Ani Davtyan was taken to hospital with the diagnose of amniotic fluid embolism.
She was 24 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with threatening premature delivery.
On 25 October, 2014 intrauterine fetal death was recorded, Davtyan delivered without any interference after which she suffered from epigastric pains, nausea, suffocation, she developed acute heart failure. Resuscitation measures were taken but the homodynamic indices were not recovered. On the same day at 22:05 Ani Davtyan died at hospital.
On 5 November, 2014 a criminal case was initiated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 130 of RA Criminal Code.
