A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on hooliganism that took place in Amiryan Street.

On August 30, 2015 at 22:10 a call was received informing that there was an argument and brawl in Amiryan Street, Yerevan, shots were fired in the result of which two persons with bodily damages were taken to University hospital N 1.

Through the inspection of the site a rifle of “Voltran” type, 1 bullet and 1 capsule were found and confiscated.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code (hooliganism committed by using weapon).

In the framework of preliminary investigation forensic medical, forensic ballistic and forensic fingerprint examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive and complete examination of the case, as well as to find the frame of the participants of the incident.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
