Body of Yerevan resident missing since January found in Ararat region

The body of 79 year-old resident of Yerevan, whose location had been unknown since January 2, 2015, was found in Ararat region.
 

On May 15, 2015 a call was received informing that in the channel of Artashat in the area of the village of Norashen a body was found. In the result of the taken measures the body was identified – he was the 79 year-old resident of Nor Norq administrative district of Yerevan Hovhannes Ghazaryan.
 

On January 2, 2015 at about 22:00 the resident of Yerevan A. Ghazaryan reported to Police Station of Nor Norq informing that on the same day at about 12:00 her father-in-law – 79 year-old H. Ghazaryan left home and did not return. A criminal case was initiated the preliminary investigation of which is conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department.
 

During preliminary investigation it was found that on January 2, 2015 at about 12:00 H. Ghazaryan left home and went to visit her sister living in Yerevan. In the yard of his sister’s house he met the resident K. Avagyan and because of memory loss clarified the address of his sister’s house after which they parted. His sister S. Ghazaryan was not at home that day.
 

Through external inspection of the body no traces of violence were found. Forensic examinations were appointed.
 

Measures are taken to find the circumstances of H. Ghazaryan’s death.
