In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of stabbing 30 year-old man in Lori were found. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old resident of Vanadzor.

It was earlier informed that on January 8, 2018 the resident of Lori region A. Khechoyan, born in 1988, with “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the frontal part of the abdomen” was taken to Vanadzor’s medical center from one of the flats of Vanadzor.  

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Inspection of the site was conducted, A. Khechoyan’s clothes were confiscated, forensic medical examination was commissioned. In the result of investigatory and operative-searching actions the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Vanadzor, born in 1996.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 21 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
