Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on using violence against Vardenis Mayor Volodya Khloyan was completed in Vardenis Investigative Division of Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, charge was pressed against one person.
 

According to preliminary investigation data, having a collection of different kind of clocks the resident of Vardenis has periodically turned to Vardenis Mayor orally since 2015 asking to open a museum of clocks and town history claiming to be the director of newly created museum. By Mayor’s instruction the clocks of the citizen’s collection were examined and it was found that they were not antique as he had been informed orally. The citizen turned to Mayor with another initiative – to open a click workshop in Vardenis.
 

According to the obtained evidence on October 26, 2016 the citizen went to town hall and in the office of community head argued with Mayor related to performing official duties by the latter and hit him for a few times. The citizen left the town hall in the result of intervention of other employees.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Vardenis according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
