In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of stabbing three persons in Tumanyan town of Lori region were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was charged and detained.

On January 16, 2016 calls were received in Police Station of Tumanyan of the RA Police from “Alaverdi Medical Center” CJSC informing that the residents of Tumanyan town Hrach Movsesyan, born in 1985, and Robert Hovsepyan, born in 1960, with penetrating wound on the left part of the chest, cut-pierced bleeding wound on the left arm and cut-pierced bleeding wound on the left part of the chest, accordingly, were taken to the medical center. 

On January 17, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Besides, on January 17, 2016 a call was received in Police Station of Bazum from “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC informing that the resident of Vanadzor with cut-pierced penetrating wound was taken to the medical center of Vanadzor.

On January 19 a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Point 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the mentioned three persons had been inflicted bodily damages in the same place by the same person. On January 19, 2016 a decision was made to join the mentioned criminal cases in one proceeding.

According to preliminary investigation data, on January 16, 2016 the resident of Lori A. Barkhudaryan took part in a party together with the injured and after it was finished, at about 23:00 passing by H. Movsesyan and A. Harutyunyan in the yard, he heard the sounds of their laughter. Thinking that the mentioned persons were laughing at him he began to argue with them then the argument turned into brawl and during it he inflicted bodily damages to three persons with a cutting-piercing item that was with him.

On the base of the obtained evidence, on January 20 charge was pressed against the resident of Lori A. Barkhudaryan according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code (infliction of bodily damages to two or more persons). Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
