Investigation is being implemented to find the circumstances of the death of prisoner of “Sevan” penitentiary

A criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on the death of prisoner of “Sevan” penitentiary Artak Arzumanyan.

On 20 December, 2014 at about 11:00 the body of the prisoner Artak Arzumanyan was found hung from metal rods in the ruined building of the former school of the residential zone of “Sevan” penitentiary of RA Ministry of Justice.

During the examination of the scene in the left pocket of Artak Arzumanyan's jacket a paper was found with the following note. “Nobody is to blame for what I have done, I was sick and tired of my life, I have decided myself”, then there was a signature.

Investigation is being implemented to provide the complete and objective examination of the case.
