Motive of argument in Vanadzor found
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the motive of the argument that took place between 3 men in Vanadzor on the evening of March 20 was found. In the result of the argument 2 persons had sustained cut-pierced bodily injuries.
As it was informed on March 21, 2017 at 00:15 a call was received from “Vanadzor’s Medical Center” informing that V. Hovhannisyan, born in 1963, with “cut-pierced wound on the neck” was taken to medical center. Some hours later at 03:30 a call was received informing that another man S. Saroyan, born in 1958, with a diagnosis of “presence of alcohol, cut wounds of the left ear, head, injury of the frontal part of the abdomen” was taken to medical center.
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department on March 21, a number of circumstances were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified; he is a resident of Vanadzor M. Kharatyan.
Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on the evening of March 20, 2017 the residents of the same town V. Hovhannisyan, S. Saroyan and M. Kharatyan used alcoholic drink near a memorial in Vanadzor. A row erupted because of scolding during conversation. As a result V. Hovhannisyan and S. Saroyan were stabbed. Pursuant to initial medical examination results V. Hovhannisyan was inflicted heavy damage dangerous for life.
On the base of the obtained evidence on March 23, 2017 charge was pressed against M. Kharatyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
