A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the residents of Gyumri Alvard and Qnarik Shahumyans and on capturing their property.
 

According to initial data, on April 18, 2015 at about 22:00 the person having committed the apparent crime has allegedly entered the Shahumyans’ flat for the purpose of capturing their property and by using a cutting-piercing tool has struck for numerous times at different parts of the bodies of Alvard Shahumyan and her mother inflicting them lethal injuries.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department pursuant to the Points 1, 8, of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Points 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.
 

Necessary investigatory and procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive examination of the circumstances of the case. Through the inspection of the site different samples have been taken and forensic genetic examination has been appointed.
 

In the framework of the criminal case a few dozens of persons have been interrogated, a number of searches have been conducted in accordance with law.
 

The appropriate subdivisions of the Police have been tasked to take necessary measures to find possible witnesses, as well as to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
