In the result of investigatory actions conducted in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder of 34 year-old resident of Alaverdi Roman Poghosyan was revealed, the suspect was arrested.
 

On December 28, 2016 at 03:35 a call was received from “Alaverdi” medical center informing that there was a man’s body in Jravazan Street.
 

Through inspection of the site at the house 80, Jravazan Street, Alaverdi – at the edge of the sidewalk the body of the resident of the same town Roman Poghosyan, born in 1982, with bodily injuries was found.
 

Necessary investigatory actions were immediately conducted in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find circumstances of the man’s death. As a result, it was denied that the man had sustained injuries in the result of falling from a high place, evidence were obtained on the allegation that the latter had been subjected to violence. A criminal case was initiated on murder according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.  
 

Through investigation the person having committed the apparent crime was identified and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the complete, objective and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.
