Stabbing in Kotayq; one person arrested
A criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on willful infliction of penetrating and not penetrating bodily damages to two persons.
On September 1, 2015 at 23:20 a call was received from “Armenia Republican Medical Center” CJSC informing that two citizens were taken to medical center. One of them was R. Stepanyan with cut-pierced not penetrating wounds on the left part of the chest, as well as cut-pierced wounds on the left part of the buttocks and the left lower limb, the other was A. Stepanyan with a cut-pierced penetrating wound on the frontal part of the abdomen, damage of liver, as well as cut-pierced bleeding wounds on the left part of the buttocks and on the upper third part of the back surface of the left thigh.
A criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code (infliction of willful heavy damage to health).
In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence actions conducted during preliminary investigation, it was found that on September 1, 2015 at about 19:00 the 17 year-old resident of Byureghavan battered G. Stepanyan after which at about 20:30 G. Stepanyan, the latter’s brothers R. and A. Stepanyans met him in order to clarify the relations caused by the mentioned argument.
The boys started brawling during which the 17 year-old man willfully stabbed in different parts of the bodies of R. and A. Stepanyans. As a result, the latters left the site and the brawl stopped.
The 17 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing the apparent crime.
Forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic traceological examinations were commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is under way. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
