Stabbing in Yerevan; charge pressed against friend for stabbing citizen of Republic of Georgia

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing of Georgia’s citizen in Yerevan was revealed, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a citizen of Georgia.

On November 22, 2017 a call was received informing that T. Tvildiani - citizen of the Republic of Georgia, born in 1989, with diagnoses of “cut-pierced wound on the back part of the chest” was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in the RA IC Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department, an investigatory group was formed. The young man was found an injured party.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures it was found that 28 year-old young man had sustained heavy bodily injury in one of the flats in Yerevan where he lives with other three friends who are also citizens of Georgia. Pursuant to the obtained actual data, after returning from a club - on November 22 at about 05:00, a row over domestic affairs erupted between two friends in the flat during which 28 year-old young man was inflicted heavy bodily injury with a kitchen knife on the chest.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the citizen of the Republic of Georgia - a young man, born in 1997, according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.
