The third participant who had assaulted the resident of the village of Zorak, R. Harutyunyan found. He had been wanted for nearly 5 years

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on assaulting the resident of the village of Zorak, R. Harutyunyan is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Masis of Ararat Regional Department of RA Investigative Committee. In the framework of the criminal case the third participant, who had been wanted since 2009, was found and involved as a defendant.
 

The assault committed with violence dangerous for life or with a threat to commit such violence took place on 17 October, 2014.
 

 It was found out that the resident of Ejmiatsin, V. Unjughulyan on 15 August, 2009 learning from his cousin M. Levonyan that their mutual friend A. Hayrapetyan had borrowed money by percents from the resident of the village of Zorak, Ararat region, R. Harutyunyan and that the latter had a lot of money and golden jewels, reached an agreement to swindle them through banditry and divide between themselves.
 

According to the investigation data A. Hayrapetyan described in details the location of the victim's house. On 17 October, 2014 at about 04:30 the masked men having committed the apparent crime, entered R. Harutyunyan's house through the window and at knifepoint hit her, shut her mouth with a sticky tape, tied her hands and feet , swindled money and golden jewels in significant amount and escaped.
 

The preliminary investigation on the part of two members of the group - A. Hayrapetyan and M. Levonyan was completed and in 2009 was sent to the court with the bill of indictment, the part on V. Unjughulyan was separated as an individual proceeding because his location was unknown and search had been declared over him.


The Court of First Instance of Ararat and Vayots Dzor considered the charges pressed against A. Hayrapetyan and M. Levonyan grounded. They were found guilty pursuant to the Points 1, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-175 of RA Criminal Code and pursuant to the Points 1, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code and were convicted to imprisonment of 6 and 8.5 years, accordingly. 
 

Unjughulyan was found and brought to investigation in 2014. He was charged on 24 October according to the Points 1, 3, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.
