Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on pimping committed by 24 year-old woman, RF citizen, was completed.

Through factual data obtained as a result of the investigative and procedural actions conducted in the General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was grounded that in 2022-2023 the mentioned woman, together with other people, in a group, involved people providing different sexual services, in prostitution in Armenia who were offered to engage in prostitution in the RA and share the money, obtained as a result, with other members of the group.

Particularly, they corresponded with a number of RF citizens through telecommunication platforms, required photos of an erotic nature from them. Getting consent they opened individual pages with their photos on the website aimed at providing escort services, organized the mentioned people’s arrival in Armenia and placed them in apartments in the building located on Buzand Street, with a daily rent.

Various clients contacted group members through the mentioned website, who having a conversation with clients, agreed on the time and amount of money for the provision of sexual services and gave them the apartment addresses. The above-mentioned women, who had arrived from the RF, getting the clients’ data, received them and gave 50 percent of the received money to the group members.

Through the search conducted in 24 year-old woman’s residence in Yerevan, large amount of money in different currencies, in bundles, records with different female names, values of rendered services, were found.

Through inspection of 24 year-old woman’s mobile phone factual data on committing pimping by the latter, advertisements for provision of sexual services, daily messages with persons providing sexual services, earnings calculations were obtained.

On the base of the obtained sufficient facts charge was pressed against 24 year-old woman according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 298 of RA Criminal Code (4 counts). Mortgage and absence ban were used as a pretrial measure against her.

The part on her was separated in a separate proceeding preliminary investigation of which was completed and the materials of the criminal proceeding, with the bill of indictment, were sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court. Preliminary investigation of the part on the other members of the group is ongoing.

Within the framework of the proceeding writs were sent to communication operators to block the mentioned website.
