Within the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on hooliganism with weapon and willful infliction of heavy bodily damage 4 persons were arrested.

We remind that on January 21, 2019 the residents of Yerevan, born in 1985 and 1977 with different bodily injuries were taken to hospital.

During preparation of materials information was received that on January 20, 2019 at about 23:00 in the club operating in Khaghagh Don Street of Yerevan a group of people roughly violated public order, showed obvious disrespect to public combined with violence against the residents of Yerevan, born in 1985 and 1977, damaging the property of the club and using a cutting-piercing item as a weapon.

On January 21, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112, the Part 4 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

An investigatory group was formed, an investigatory plan was worked out. In the result of urgent investigatory, operative-intelligence actions conducted jointly by the Investigative Committee and the Police a number of circumstances of the case, the motive were found out. Interrogations were conducted, data were obtained on the frame of those involved in the incident that took place in the club operating in Khaghagh Don Street.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that the injured were cousins. On January 20, 2019 while buying flowers in one of the flower shop in Yerevan one of them – the young man, born in 1985, started arguing with another young man. At that time 8-10 people approached them and intervened with the conversation after which the parties arranged to meet later for clarifications.

On the day of the incident at about 23:00 the parties met in the billiard club operating in Khaghagh Don Street. An argument started between them during which the cousins sustained different bodily injuries and were taken to hospital.

During preliminary investigation data were obtained that those involved in the incident in the billiard club operating in Khaghagh Don Street arranged to meet on February 8, 2019 to revenge.

In order to prevent the further possible grave and particularly grave crimes a decision was made to neutralize and apprehend the parties.

Yesterday evening 8 people were apprehended on suspicion of hooliganism committed with weapon and willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to somebody else's life. 4 of them were arrested.

Two of the arrested are brothers.

Through search of the car of «Toyota Camry» make belonging to one of them a rifle of «AKM» model charged with 27 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber, a pistol of «PM» model charged with 18 bullets of 9 mm caliber, a rifle bullet of 5,45 mm caliber, yellowish mass were found.  

Through personal search of the other brother 2 fired capsules of 9 mm caliber, dark brawn liquid were found in the pocket of his coat.

More than 15 searches were conducted within the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
