A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of 40 year-old resident of Yerevan. The motive of murder was found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. The latter was arrested.
 

On August 23, 2016 at 22:30 a call was received informing that there was a man’s body in the lift of one of the houses of Charents district of Avan administrative district of Yerevan.
 

The investigatory group left for the site immediately. The body was identified; he was the resident of the same house A. Dergelyov, born in 1976. Through external inspection of the body cut-pierced bodily injuries were found on the back part of the chest and left shoulder.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case, on August 24, 2016 the resident of the same district E. Simonyan, born in 1943, was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime and was questioned. Investigatory experimentation with the latter’s participation was carried out. A. Dergelyov was found an injured party. Through inspection of the site the knife which was the crime tool, the clothes the victim was wearing were confiscated.
 

Forensic medical examination of the body, forensic trace, forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
