In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the real cause of 41 year-old man’s death was found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.

On October 15, 2015 at 12:00 a call was received informing that Armen Sargsyan, born in 1974, died suddenly in his room in the second dormitory at Banaki Street, Dzoraghbyur village.

The investigatory-operative group headed by the investigator immediately left for the site. Inspection of the site and the body was conducted and a bruise was found at the area of the body’s right eye. On the same day forensic examination of the body was commissioned the result of which has not been received yet.

On 16.10.2015 the autopsy results were received according to which Armen Sargsyan’s death was caused by close blunt injury of brain.

A criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigatory and procedural actions were conducted to find the circumstances of bodily damages inflicted to the victim.

In the result of investigation it was found that some days ago on October 12 A. Sargsyan received his relative in his room in the dormitory, during it a row on domestic affairs erupted between them. According to preliminary investigation data the relative hit with his fist different parts of A. Sargsyan’s body (the face, back part of the head, chest, back) inflicting bodily damages.

On October 17 the relative was arrested on suspicion of inflicting A. Sargsyan bodily damage which negligently caused his death.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
