A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on arson of the house of A. Kakhyan who is under persecution on murder charge.
 

On February 27, 2016 at 07:25 a call was received from a resident of the village of Vahagni, Lori region informing that A. Kakhyan’s house situated in the same village was on fire. The latter has been under persecution since February 22, 2016 on charge murder in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department.
 

Through inspection of the site it was found that it was a two-storeyed house and a part of the second floor with its property had been burnt. In one of the bedrooms of the same floor liquid with petroleum odor in a glass bottle of 0.5 liters, stone pieces with which the windows had been broken and below the wall of the ground floor wooden pieces wrapped with cloth rags were found. In the passage of the second floor a burnt metal torso like a weapon of “RPK” type, 3 empty cartridges, 1 screw spring and 58 capsules were found, as well.
 

On February 27, 2016 a criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code (willful destruction of property by arson).
 

Complex forensic fire technical, forensic merchandising, as well as forensic ballistic examinations have been commissioned, a plan of joint investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures to be taken has been made, assignments have been given to appropriate subdivisions of the Police, investigatory and procedural measures are taken to reveal the crime.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
